“Shankle Shimmy” Donny Shankle hits 208kg clean and jerk
Have you ever hit a lift and it made you so happy you had to dance? HA HA! Love this dude. For some good entertainment, search for “Donny Shankle Disney Land” and watch the vid about his attempted mugging.

Oh no, lifting heavy weights? Isn’t she afraid of getting AWESOME?!
She makes it look easier than when I do it!!! Ha ha! Amazing!
Don’t let small success’ get to you and never let your failures stop you.
I like it! REBLOG!
“I had a long talk with Bruce Springsteen on a rooftop during the Vote for Change tour (in 2004). And it boiled down to this: That guy you used to be, he’s still in the car. He’ll always be in the car. Just don’t let him drive. He might be shouting out directions. But whatever you do, don’t let him get behind the wheel." - Eddie Vedder”
You don’t have to know how to shine the sun, you just do it…..like you breath. Doesn’t it really astonish you that you are this fantastically complex thing? And that you’re doing all of this and you never had any education on how to do it?
I laughed so hard I had NO CHOICE but to reblog.
I forgot to post this. I made a resolution that this year I would hit the following weights:
315 Squat - Not real sure of current max, but 275 went up pretty easily the other night. I just need to get my knees to stop caving in, and I’d probably get there pretty quickly.
405 Deadlift - Again, not real sure of current 1RM, but did 355 the other night and it felt pretty easy. With focus on form I should be able to hit this goal fairly easy as well.
Those are the lifts I care the most about setting goals on. I already have a bench that’s higher than it should be compared to my other lifts (around 280) so I wont focus on that too much. I’m going to try to focus more on my rowing strength. As for military, I just want to keep progressing. I don’t have a goal currently for that lift. A goal may be developed as the year progresses.
Should be a good year!!!
Ha ha! As much as I hate waiting to use equipment, he’s got a good point. I remember when I first started going to the gym. There’s an excellent chance I looked like a huge idiot….literally, I was over 300 lbs at that point.
